Setting up ShadowPlay

In order to use ShadowPlay, you must have Geforce Experience installed on your computer. Geforce Experience is only available if you have an Nvidia graphics card in your computer. Download it here.

The next step is to launch the Geforce Experience Overlay, where you can set it up. The default key to launch the overlay is Alt+Z. Otherwise, you can launch it directly from the application.

Once you are in the overlay, you need to turn on "Instant Replay". This records your gameplay at all times but does not save it.

By pressing Alt+F10, Shadowplay will save a video 5 minutes prior to you hitting the key. This step is crucial if you want to report an RDM for example.

  • We recommend tweaking the record length to at least 6 minutes so you can get a full 5 minutes of video prior to your death.
