What are gathering devices?

There are numerous vehicles on Asylum that allow you to gather items faster and more efficiently than by hand. These are very specialized expensive vehicles which bring with them the risk of notoriety when blasting through town in your 18-wheeler loaded with drugs. It is highly suggested that you are with a group before starting to use these vehicles or are armed to fend off attacks.

Tempest Device

The tempest device is the most diversified vehicle for gathering. This large truck is able to gather Cocaine, Heroin, Ephedra, Henbane, Weed, Phosphorous, and Hydrogen Sulfate, simply park the truck in the field and activate it via the "Gather with Device" scroll-wheel option. This vehicle gathers 12 items every cycle and has a large inventory to store your drugs! Be careful to bring fuel though! This device is hungry and will consume gas at a fast rate. The tempest has a very distinctive sound and is especially vulnerable to attack due to its engine placement behind the driver's side door. However, despite these risks the speed of gathering makes this vehicle the favorite for large gangs and drug runners.

Jackhammer Truck

The jackhammer truck is a heavily modified Tempest to include a large jackhammer which extracts metal and other materials from quarries with great speed. These large trucks are used by the most expert crafters who need large numbers of materials in an efficient manner, or those who seek to get rich by legal means. This jackhammer is hungry and will consume gas at a fast rate while gathering, it is highly encouraged to bring a gas can along with you in order to not be stranded at the mine! The jackhammer also has a very distinctive sound and is especially vulnerable to attack due to its engine placement behind the driver’s side door. Gold Pan Truck

The gold-pan truck is another modified tempest with a large pump on the back, this truck filters valuable antiquities out of the salty water surrounding shipwrecks, this is the vehicle of choice for serious excavators, jewelry manufacturers, or illegal metals dealers. The pump has a very distinctive sound is also is vulnerable due to engine placement, but due to its great speed of gathering this truck is your best friend for all valuable found underwater.

Lumber Truck

The lumber truck is a modified tempest tailor made for the forestry industry. Including a large storage bay for logs, large crane, and a variety of processing tools that allow you to quickly chop down any trees in the surrounding areas. The truck has a very distinctive sound and is especially vulnerable to attack due to its engine placement behind the driver’s side door. Gardening Truck

The gardening truck is a modified service off-road tailor made for gathering bushes used in the production of illegal liquor. Included is a large flatbed storage bin for bushes and a variety of processing tools that allow you to quickly gather all bushes in the surrounding areas. The truck is a bright yellow and highly visible however due to its smaller profile is generally less of a target for robbers. Tractor

The tractor can also gather Cocaine, Heroin, Ephedra, Henbane, Weed, Phosphorous, and Hydrogen Sulfate. However, this vehicle does not have a large device, instead a small tiller on the bottom, so you must drive the tractor around the zone to extract the materials from the ground. A tractor does not have very much storage space, but it can be loaded in the back of large trucks such as the HEMMT transport to increase the storage capability of the truck. These vehicles are known to be used by gangs interested in doing smaller, less risky runs. As multiple gang members can quickly run tractor to fill-up a truck without the risk of pulling out a large truck like a Tempest Device.

Oil Trucks(Fuel Truck, Zamak Fuel, HEMTT Fuel)
